World's Largest Swimming Pool

World's Largest Swimming Pool

Wow! This is really incredible! Already acknowledged by Guinness World Records; this is the world's largest swimming pool, the man-made saltwater lagoon and swimming pool of San Alfonso del Mar resort at Algarrobo, Chile's southern coast. The swimming pool is 1,013 meters in length and covers an area of eight hectares containing 250,000 cubic meters of water. It's equivalent in size to an incredible 6,000 standard domestic swimming pools. This one took five years to build and cost almost £1billion and the annual maintenance bill will be £2million. The waters are so crystal clear. The world's second biggest pool is the Orthlieb-nicknamed the Big Splash in Casablanca, Morocco which is as huge as 150 meters by 100 meters.
