Myanmar is one of the few countries in the world, where people stick to their national dress in spite of western culture influence. Particularly, Myanmar people love to wear their traditional dress longyies. Therefore, Myanmar traditional garments are suitable for souvenirs for tourist.

There are cotton and hemp, folk clothes and souvenirs, plus various cotton bags and backpacks. The products are fashionable designed and tailor-made that is very popular for tourist.

















One of the best buys, if you can find them, are small lacquer boxes, chest and cabinets of the 17th, 18th and 19th century covered in gilt lacquer work.

The wooden object is coated with several layers of black lacquer, painstakingly collected over several months from trees growing only in the central of Myanmar. Lacquer is the same way as rubber is tapped from trees. It takes several weeks for each coat to be thoroughly dried before the next coating is applied. Then, the design is drawn on. Parts that appear black are painted with a water-soluble pigment.

































Silversmith is one of the local handicrafts that Myanmar is famous in the world. Some of the silverware on display in the showroom windows is of museum quality, especially the silver bowl & massy necklaces. Some of the pieces are exported to neighboring Thailand so that you could have barging here in Myanmar than in Thailand.

Tapestry is the art of stitching gold and silver thread as well as sequins onto the ground cloth to form desired figures, and the work is known as applique. To all Myanmars, it is known as " Shwe means gold, gyi is thread and doe means sewing or stitching: hence, litreral rendering of "Shwe-gyi-doe" in English should be "gold thread sewing work.".















The Art of Crafting Burmese puppet was started from the early 15th century because puppet performance was allowed by the Kings of Konbaung-Dynasty for Stage performance at that time. Mostly there are 28 different character of puppets example - King, Queen Prince, Princess, ceustial -spirit (i.e. King of the Angles) EL Chemist, Forest orger, King to Queen of orger. Minister Royal, Page-boy, soldier, Monkey Garudar bird, (King of the birds) Elephant, Horse etc. (different Character to perform a puppet show mostly from the Buddha Stories)
