Judge Shuts Down Paris Hilton Website

A federal judge has issued a temporary injunction against a website selling personal items that belong to Paris Hilton.
'The Simple Life' star sued the website last week, claiming that it was exploiting her private belongings for commercial gain.
The lawsuit alleges that two defendants bought the contents of a storage unit which held her personal belongings, later selling the items for $10 million to Bardia Persa, who created the subscription-based website.
The injunction, which was issued on Friday, temporarily bars the site from releasing Hilton's Social Security number, health data and other personal information.
Hilton's spokesman, Elliott Mintz, applauded the move.
"I know what this has done personally and emotionally to Paris," he said. "As far as I'm concerned, this is the most disturbing intrusion upon the privacy of a public figure that I've ever witnessed."
