Star-nosed Mole

|

Don't be surprise this is not a plant or a flower. It is a mammal on Earth. But recent study found it can smell prey while underwater.

The biologists found that moles are the fastest mammalian foragers on Earth. The mole has now displayed equal prowess as a lightning-fast underwater sniffer, blowing and inhaling air bubbles at a rate of five to ten times a second. The bubbles make contact with a target, such as morsel of earthworm or fish, and apparently pick up the target's scent before being sucked back up the nose.

Moles are not totally blind - they have tiny eyes covered with hairy skin.
Their favourite food is worms.
Moles can burrow through 13lbs of earth every 20 minutes.
In the early 1900s, moleskin clothes were very fashionable and lots of moles were killed
