Jim Carrey and Jennifer Lopez Thought To Be Scientologists

|

Celebrities have become scientologists like Tom Cruize and Leah Remini. Now Jennifer Lopez and Jim Carrey seems to join Scientology. How do you think of this Scientology?

Scientology is a body of teachings and related techniques developed by American science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard. It began in 1952 as a self-help philosophy, an outgrowth of his earlier self-help system, Dianetics. It claims to offer "an exact methodology" to help humans achieve awareness of their spiritual existence across many lifetimes and, simultaneously, to become more effective in the physical world. The name "Scientology" is also used to refer to the often controversial Church of Scientology, the largest organization promoting the practice of Scientology, which is itself part of a network of affiliated corporations that claim ownership and sole authority to disseminate Dianetics and Scientology

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's wedding last month was a star-studded event. Longtime friends of the couple like Will and Jada Pinckett-Smith and Victoria Beckham were there, but so were Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony and Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey. These two couples weren't known to have associated with Tom and Katie in the past. How did they score tickets to the wedding of the year?

According to sources for Page Six, Jim and Jennifer are currently looking into joining Cruise's Church of Scientology. One insider told the gossip column, "Jim is taking the introductory and beginner's courses right now." Meanwhile, Lopez was introduced to the religion through another Cruise wedding guest, "King of Queens" star, Leah Remini, also a Scientologist.
A snitch said, "Leah and Jennifer have been friends for years, and Leah has always talked to her about the church without pressuring her…We can see Scientology appealing to Jennifer because, in the early stages, it is a lot of self-help." Whatever Leah has been telling Jennifer must be working. The source revealed that Lopez "has started using Scientology phrases and explains the church to people."

Insiders suspect that Jennifer may be turning to Scientology to help her in her attempt become pregnant. It wouldn't be the first time a star sought out Scientology to help with a child-related problem. Last year Victoria Beckham was spotted reading a Scientology book called Assists for Illnesses and Injuries. It was believed she was reading the book for advice on how to deal with her son Romeo's seizures.

Both Carrey's and Lopez's reps were hesitant to reveal any connection between their clients and the Church of Scientology. Jim's rep expressly denied that he was taking classes.
